Danny Granger (knee) will not return to game action right away even if he's cleared at the end of the week, according to coach Frank Vogel.
"That's him resuming activity," Vogel said in reference to Granger's timetable. Granger will miss at least the next three games and will be reevaluated after that, but there have been an abundance of negative reports regarding his condition. Even if he does return, Granger is unlikely to play a major role due to his unstable knee.

Kobe Bryant (ankle) will not play in Sunday's game vs. the Kings, and he's also doubtful to play on Monday.
Kobe lasted 12 minutes before shutting down on Friday, and the injury is reportedly serious enough to consider him 'out indefinitely'. We doubt that the Black Mamba will be out much longer with his team clinging to a playoff spot, but keep in mind that the Lakers only play two games this week (leaving him with one game if he's out Monday). Plan accordingly.

Eric Gordon is likely to sit out on Monday night as the Hornets have given no indication that he'll be cleared to play in back-to-back games.
Although Gordon played just 26 minutes on Sunday, the protocol all season has been for Gordon to rest for one game of a back-to-back set. Monty Williams said he didn't anticipate a change from that schedule earlier in the season, so until we hear otherwise, neither do we. If Gordon sits, Roger Mason Jr. could start in his place, and Gordon would be facing a two-game week if he sits out on Monday against the Warriors.

Carmelo Anthony's status for Monday's game against the Jazz is up in the air due to his sore right knee.
Melo didn't play in Sunday's loss to the Clippers, and Mike Woodson "did not indicate" when he expected to have his star player back on the court. If Melo is forced to sit out again, we'd expect J.R. Smith to have another game where he plays big minutes off the bench with Chris Copeland chipping in as well.

This is nothing new and there's almost no chance he'll be able to return for the regular season. The Knicks are hoping he can be back for the first round of the playoffs and they're going to need him with their lack of frontcourt depth.

Chandler said before Sunday's game against the Clippers that he'd be back "in the next couple of games," leaving the door open for Chandler to possibly sit out again on Monday. If he is forced to the sidelines again, Kenyon Martin and Marcus Camby would be in for extended minutes with how injured the Knicks are along the front line.
