日 항공사 승무원, 기장과 성매매 “90분 동안 70만원 벌어”
일본 항공사 승무원들이 낮은 임금에 대처하기 위해 기장을 상대로 매춘을 벌인 사실이 드러나
파문이 일고 있다.
지난 22일(현지시간) 영국 매체 '데일리메일'에 따르면 일본 항공사의 승무원이 기장과 정기적으로 성매매를
일삼았다.
이 승무원들은 감소한 임금을 보완하기 위해 매춘에 의존하고 있다.

승무원들의 연봉은 지난 10년간 크게 감소하였고 열악한 근무 환경에 이 같은 추잡한 일이 일어난 것으로 추측된다.
한 익명의
제보자는 "기장과 90분 동안 잠자리를 가지면 450달러에서 650달러(한화 약 48만원에서 70만원)를 벌 수 있다"고
충격적인 사실을 폭로했다.
이어 "매춘을 원하는 기장과의 연결은 전문적으로 포주 역할을 담당하는 수석 승무원에게
번호를 전달하면 성매매가 시작됐다"며
"기장은 손으로 신호를 보내는데 이를테면 코에 네 개의 손가락을 갖다 대면 4만 엔 (한화
약 40만원)을 의미하는 거다"고 밝혔다.
또 다른 제보자는 "30세 미만의 승무원은 기장에게 높은 금액 매춘 수당을 요구하기도
한다"고 전했다.
익명의 제보자는 "항공사 내에서 발생한 비윤리적인 행각이 안팎에서 소문으로 퍼졌고,
매춘을 알선하는 포주 담당 승무원은
해고됐다"고 말했다.
이어 "기장과 성매매를 하는 승무원들 중 일부는 도쿄 긴자에서 바 호스티스로 일을
한다"고 충격적인 사실을 털어놨다.

An unnamed flight attendant recently told Japan's
Shukan Post magazine that Japanese stewardesses are turning to prostitution to
combat wage decreases.
According to Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour
and Welfare, the average annual wage of a stewardess fell from 4.98 million yen,
or about $42,000, to 3.91 million Yen, or about $33,000, between 2004 and
2013.
She told the magazine she heard rumors of a "prostitution circle"
that started several years before she joined her airline in 2007.
"Girls
willing to do it with a pilot passed their number to a person who was
effectively a female pimp," she said. "I heard that the going rate was between
50,000 and 80,000 yen per session."
The ringleader of the "prostitution
circle" was fired by the airline. "But since the girls in the circle at the time
are still employed at the company, I'm sure it still goes on even now," the
flight attendant said.
Another unnamed stewardess told the magazine that
during pre-flight checks, stewardesses line up in front in front of the pilot
and copilot. The pilots drop hand signals. Four digits raised to the nose, for
example, means 40,000 yen for an overnight stay at a hotel.
However, a
stewardess's value diminishes substantially after the age of
30.
According to the Shukan Post, other air stewardesses work part-time
in Tokyo's luxurious Ginza district as party companions or bar hostesses.
