Corinthians will host Sao Paulo in round 15 of the Serie A. The teams seem to be going in different direction in the last month and the hosts are set as good favorites today. Corinthians has good form of late with 4 straingt wins while the visitors are in big slump. Maybe that was related with their partitipation in the Copa Libertadores but they don`t have to worry about that anymore. They were eliminated by Nacional losing both matches. The recent one was just 3 days ago in Colombia so that should add some tiredness effect. Corinthians is flying high in the league and hold the second place with 28 points, just 1 behind Palmeiras. They have struggled away from home but here they are very convincing with 6-1-0 so far and 15:3 goal difference. They have the second best home defense in the league as well. Sao Paulo hasn`t lost many matches and has 2-2-3 away from home with 5:8 goal difference. But from the last 6 matches have won just one and that was at home. Sao Paulo lost their last 4 away matches in all competitions and I guess would rather not play Corinthians in order to escape this poor state. Corinthians aren`t the most desirable opponent for Sao Paulo as the hosts beat them in 4 of the last 5 matches played here. Last year Corinthians won by 6:1. For today the hosts have some problems in defense as defenders Pedro Henrique(7-0) and Vilson(4-0) are injured and the coach will call for this game the youngster Leo(17 y.o.). Also out are Camacho(mid.2-0) and Lucca(att.5-2). Returning are the captain Elias and the attacker Andre. Sao Paulo besides the bad run might have some other problems as they are selling some of their best players. Ganso is related with Sevilla while Kardec is related with some Chinese club and both will not play today. Kardec scored 2 goals in their last home match. Also out are Lucas Fernandes(mid.5-1), Breno(mid.0-0) Wellington (mid.0-0), Kelvin (att.9-0), Caramelo (def.4-0), Renan Ribeiro (keper 1-0) e Daniel (mid.1-0).
